Security Officers - Full Time - The Gathering PlaceSite Description:The Gathering Place is a Community Health Centre committed to building community, promoting equality and providing food, clothing, housing and shelter, medical and dental help, and counselling services to vulnerable individuals in our community.Position Details:Position: Full Time Security Officer Site: The Gathering Place Overtime: Overtime after 48 hoursHours: Monday through Friday 1600-0000?Payrate: $ 19.00/hourPosting Date: November 5th, 2025Internal Closing Date: December 5th, 2025External Closing Date: December 5th, 2025Schedule Example:Monday through Friday - 1600 - 0000Key responsibilities:TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESBased on specific site posting, log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitorsPatrol interior and exterior of facility preventing unauthorized entry; in a composed manner direct individuals initiating disruption to leave the premisesWhile on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of securityRespond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.Monitoring situations, cameras, property and eventsCommunicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances as well as provide information regarding the facility as requested by personnelSustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and visitors through courteous and respectful relations perceived from their viewpointMonitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner in order to grant access to the facilityPrerequisites:Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector checkValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor)Valid class 5 Driver LicenseEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityWhy choose Paladin?Opportunities for training and professional development.Competitive wage and benefits package.Code of Conduct reimbursementPaid vacation & sick daysGet paid your way with flexible daily pay optionsWork today, get paid today—daily pay available Paladin Security: Making the World a Safer and Friendlier Place because we CARE The Paladin Difference starts with our people; we're the best because we hire the best.
