Position Details:

Position:  Full Time Security Officer
Site: The Gathering Place
Overtime: Overtime after 48 hours
Hours: Monday through Friday ?
Payrate: $ 19.00/hour
Posting Date: November 5th, 2025
Internal Closing Date: December 5th, 2025
External Closing Date: December 5th, 2025

Monday through Friday

Key responsibilities:

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESBased on specific site posting, log and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitorsPatrol interior and exterior of facility preventing unauthorized entry; in a composed manner direct individuals initiating disruption to leave the premisesWhile on patrol, monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, hazardous material and additional breaches of securityRespond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.
Monitoring situations, cameras, property and eventsCommunicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstances as well as provide information regarding the facility as requested by personnelSustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and visitors through courteous and respectful relations perceived from their viewpointMonitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional manner in order to grant access to the facility

Prerequisites:

Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector checkValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a CSA-approved vendor)Valid class 5 Driver LicenseEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
