The position Under the supervision of the Claims Team Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of claims files for our Ontario clientele, from initial intake through to resolution while delivering exceptional customer service. You will be part of a young, dynamic, and collaborative team and will work closely with our Brossard-based team to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality claims handling. You will also have the opportunity to grow within your role by actively contributing to the continuous improvement of the department. Your ideas, initiative, and expertise will be valued, and you will play an active role in enhancing processes, improving client experience, and supporting the evolution of our claims practices. Key Responsibilities • Receive and process boat insurance claims.• Analyze claims, confirm coverage, and apply policy terms and conditions.• Appoint appropriate appraisers, specialists as required.• Review and analyze appraiser reports and documentation provided• Settle claims based on the analysis of reports and communicate decisions to insured clients.• Interact with insurers in accordance with delegated authorities.• Issue claim payments or formal denials following claim settlement.• Actively contribute to the development and improvement of the department by sharing ideas and recommendations.
