Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer for immediate employment for the London/ Kitchener, Ontario office. This position is to fill an existing position within the team.Job Summary:You will support projects across Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability sectors, including renewable energy (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. You will work under moderate supervision and contribute to a variety of engineering design and analysis tasks while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:Perform electrical analyses, calculations, and routine tests in compliance with applicable codes and standards.Assist in preparing technical specifications, design drawings, memos, and reports.Identify discrepancies in results and propose solutions using sound engineering judgment.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to fulfill project scope, budget, and timeline.Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate the electrical conditions and provide recommendations.Provide technical or operational guidance to less experienced engineers, EIT’s and technicians.Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.Qualifications Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering + four (4) years of relevant professional experience Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario in good standing.Preferred QualificationsExperience in sectors such as Water & Wastewater, Transportation, Buildings, and Sustainability (PV and EV systems).Experience in design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM, or similar.Solid Knowledge of power systems: MV/LV distribution, lighting, controls, renewable energy systems.Proficiency with engineering calculations and preparing technical documentation.Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.Self-motivated, detail oriented and multi-tasking.Additional InformationRelocation is not available for this position.Sponsorship is not available for this position.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
