SIEL Human Solutions on behalf of our client is looking to hire a Full Time Maintenance Mechanic-Millwright (afternoon shift).Our client, located in Saskatoon, SK is a global, high-tech engineering group providing solutions that enhance productivity, profitability and sustainability for the manufacturing, mining and infrastructure industries. The Maintenance Mechanic-Millwright is responsible for performing mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, machines and facilities. If you have 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment with post secondary education in mechanical technology or a related field, with solid hands on experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, than this position is for youEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, minor electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, machines and facilitiesPerforms emergency / unscheduled repairs of production and packaging equipmentPerforms scheduled maintenance inspections and repairs of production and packaging equipmentReads and interprets equipment manuals, engineering drawings, work orders, and other information sources, to perform required maintenance and servicingResponsible for knowing and following all Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, DSI, and Site Safety and Health rules including maintaining a safe-work environment by enforcing a strict standard of housekeeping in the immediate and surrounding work areas utilizing 5S principles. Communication: Provide input and recommendations for equipment purchases and replacement.Recognize unsafe acts and corrects the situation, making suggestions on creating a safe and healthy work environment.Communicates with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner. General: Troubleshoots presses, furnaces, threaders. conveyors, saws and automated production linesUses lathes, mills, welders and grinders to aid in repairs and maintenanceWorks closely with Production & Maintenance Supervisor on various projects and preventative maintenanceConforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructionsCompletes other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
