Description :Major Job FunctionsTrouble shoot, repair and maintain CAT equipment in either a shop or field environment (possibility of remote locations)Respond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performed.Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair requiredProviding support with reference to on-site safety requirementsMaintain Finning Customer Service Commitment**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**Specific Skills & ExperienceInterprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment CertificationClean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systemsEngine and/or component rebuilding experience would be beneficialTransmission or Hydraulic testing experiencePrevious gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an assetImportant Details:This position is based in Terrace on a 5x2 Monday to Friday ShiftA condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicableUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
