Position OverviewWe are seeking a foreign-trained physician with recognized training and experience in neurology, cognitive assessment, and the management of neurodegenerative disorders. This position does not require Canadian medical licensure but does require: Proven expertise in neurology and preventative brain healthA passion for patient education and proactive careThe ability to work closely with and under the supervision of licensed Canadian clinicians Key Responsibilities: Conduct cognitive assessments including standardized tools such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) to evaluate memory, executive function, and other cognitive domains.Support the early detection and monitoring of neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.Assist in the development of individualized care plans and preventative strategies for patients at risk of cognitive decline.Provide evidence-based recommendations on cognitive health, brain wellness, and risk factor modification.Collaborate with licensed physicians and multidisciplinary team members in case discussions and patient debriefs.Document findings, prepare structured patient-facing summaries, and contribute to the clinic's Brain Health Program.Support quality assurance, training, and continuous improvement initiatives related to cognitive and neurological care. Qualifications: Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialty training in Neurology from a recognized institution outside of Canada.A minimum of 5–10 years of clinical experience in neurology, including work with cognitive assessments and neurodegenerative conditions.Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing Parkinson's disease, dementia, and Alzheimer's disease.Familiarity with MRI and other diagnostic tools used for diagnosing neurodegenerative diseases.Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, empathetic, patient-centered care.Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to prepare structured reports and patient summaries.Proficiency with clinical software, neurocognitive assessment tools, and electronic medical records is an asset.This role does not require licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.This is a non-diagnostic role; responsibilities are focused on data aggregation and interpretation under the supervision of licensed clinicians.Future opportunities for expanded roles or advancement may be available based on clinic growth and performance.
