Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Rehabilitation Advice Line (RAL) at Health Link, this position provides immediate consultation and supervision to staff, such as providing clinical consultation, shift debriefing, and assisting with clinical decision making and problem solving. This position is responsible for day-to-day problem solving related to RAL staffing, technology, and business processes. The position also supports Quality and Safety activities through participation in staff education sessions, quality assurance activities, and coaching of staff.As a Rehabilitation Advice Line (RAL) Clinical Supervisor, you provide direct supervision of the RAL clinical staff including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and therapy assistants. You will support clinicians in professional practice, enabling quality patient and family-centered telerehabilitation. The role includes listening to calls in real time, reviewing clinical documentation, conducting team case consultations, and providing guidance and direction to clinical staff with challenging and urgent cases in a timely manner. This position coordinates, consults and collaborates with AHS Zone physiotherapy consultants to ensure that the Central Triage for general musculoskeletal concerns is functioning effectively to identify Albertans who qualify for AHS funded physiotherapy visits, engaging with AHS and external service providers, as required. You will coordinate clinical staffing to support RAL operations and call volumes as well as work with Health Link leadership to create new clinical content to address callers with rehabilitation concerns in new and emerging business areas This position is part of Primary Care Alberta. By applying on this posting, if you are the successful candidate, you agree to and will become an employee of Primary Care Alberta.Description: As an Occupational Therapist III, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral member through your leadership to other healthcare professionals (OT Is, OT IIs, Assistants). You will facilitate the development and on-going monitoring of clinical standards of practice for occupational therapy and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area, collaborating with management to support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program or bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university program and related experience. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).Additional Required Qualifications: Occupational Therapists with a Master’s Degree or equivalent will be considered for this position; active licensing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Alberta (ACOT) is required. Extensive, recent rehabilitation expertise through experience in a variety of settings (, acute, community), in order to provide full breadth of clinical support to staff. A minimum of five years’ experience in healthcare education, leadership or in a professional development role. Knowledge of rehabilitation practice standards across varied disciplines (OT, PT, etc.) and experience working in an interdisciplinary team. Experience in training, coaching and performance management required. Ability to work in a highly technical contact centre environment and respond to both people and technology issues. Experience in the delivery of telerehabilitation interventions. Excellent computer skills essential, including working knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to learn and support staff using multiple electronic platforms concurrently. Demonstrated ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, adhere to deadlines, and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities at once. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication, and ability to collaborate effectively with clients, staff and management. Commitment to working collaboratively and to building a positive team environment.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MS Office Suite including Teams. Previous tele-triage and contact centre experience is an asset.
