ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a registered Carpenter Journeyman/ Apprentice th year Carpenter to join our Calgary Manufacturing Plant. Reporting to the Lead head, Carpenter Apprentice is responsible for assisting in constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes. This is a union-based role. Location will be RockyView County, AB LocationJob Responsibilities: Build house framework, walls, roof, exterior and interior finishesInstall doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding, and ceiling tilesRepair and remodel existing structures of all kindsRead and interpret drawings. Select materials, plan sequences and methods of work, and measure and mark materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions.Cut and shape materials and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue.Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and in the right size, shape, and location.Work accurately and economically and follow national and local building codesOther duties as assigned.Who You Are: Actively registered th year Apprentice Carpenter or Carpenter JourneypersonPrevious experience with modular units is considered an assetAbility to read and interpret blueprints.Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as other building materials.Ability to work in a team environment.What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate and BenefitsIndoor manufacturing facility, Work life balance, Day shift, Monday – Friday.Opportunity to work on exciting projects.
