Job Posting Nurse BELWOOD LODGE & CAMP Where friendships are made and challenges are understood Job Posting: Nurse Position Type: Seasonal, Full-Time (10 week contract) Location: Belwood, Ontario (30 minutes outside of Guelph) Start Date: June 19th, 2026 End Date: August 28th, 2026 About Belwood Lodge and Camp Belwood Lodge and Camp is a welcoming and inclusive summer camp dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for children, youth, and adults with developmental disabilities. We focus on creating a supportive, fun, and empowering environment where campers/lodgers can thrive, build confidence, and make lifelong friendships. Position Summary The camp Nurses are the heart of Belwood Lodge and Camp. As a Camp Nurse, you will ensure the lodgers and staff health and medical needs are met to the highest degree. You will ensure their safety, well-being, and enjoyment throughout their stay. Your great attention to the health and safety, well being and medical needs of lodgers and staff will ensure a successful and enjoyable camp experience and help create unforgettable camp memories. Key Responsibilities Daily medication administration (4 times a day) Provide initial first aid/emergency care for campers and staff Live on-site (meals and lodgings provided) Prepare and re-stock first aid kits for emergency use for all counselors and program areas Maintain all records of campers and staff (hospital visits, medication, injuries, dietary habits) Advise cabin counsellors on caring for the health of their campers Collaborate with Health Centre staff and Camp Directors regarding outstanding health concerns of Participants Communicate and work closely with the leadership team Ability to administer injections Assist with hygiene care/concerns as needed Daily cleaning, organizing and waste removal within the health centre Upon hiring, review the health related Ontario Camps Association (OCA) accreditation standards Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging camp atmosphere Work collaboratively with fellow staff to ensure camper/lodger safety and satisfaction Uphold Belwood Lodge and Camp’s values of respect, inclusion, and compassion Qualifications A Registered Nurse (RN/ RPN) Standard first aid & CPR (required) Criminal background check (required) Strong organizational skills A positive mindset Enthusiastic, patient, and team-oriented Experience working with individuals with disabilities Strong communication and problem-solving skills Willingness to learn, grow, and have fun Rate of Pay and Bonus Pay Rate of Pay: $1,000.00 – $1,300.00 per week (dependent on experience) + 4% vacation pay. Bonus Pay: $50.00 per week of completed contract. (not eligible if employee resigns or is terminated) Why Join Us?
