The successful person will be an energetic, customer focused, self-starter who has experience in the automotive aftermarket parts industry.What we can offer you:A competitive salary.Comprehensive benefits and employee assistance program accessible.A generous employer contribution to the pension plan.Complete insurance coverage.Employee discounts on automotive products.Career development opportunities.Work in a dynamic work environment you’ll be able to expand your skills.Your Daily Contribution & Impact:Support Outbound Supervisors and team leader in daily tasks. Research and investigate shipment variances & discrepancies. Coordinate priority of shipments to be processed in shipping department. Coordinate shipments, carrier equipment, carrier pick up and loading times. Wrap, band and affix shipping labels on outgoing pallets. Prepares labels, waybills, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and other declarations required for shipment. Verify, communicate and keep records of all outgoing shipments. Communication with Customer Care and Carrier dispatch. Assist in training shipping functions to outbound associates. Work with other Distribution Centers (DC) about orders and inventory transfers. Operate machinery (MHE) to support shipping dock when required. Provides advice and support to other departments on warehouse matters. Participate in the planning of special projects to ensure the best use of the company’s resources. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with governmental regulations. Identify, through a proactive approach, potential cost-saving and efficiency gain opportunities to improve overall operating metrics.
