Job DescriptionCEDA is currently seeking Drivers, Class 1 or 3 at our Dawson Creek, BC location  Working on a call out basis, our dispatch group will keep you busyWhat we offer: Flexible shift schedules, travel and housing for non-locals negotiable Competitive wages starting at $30.00, based on experience Excellent benefits and matching pension contributions Variety: changing work scopes from one day to the next – there is always a new challenge Key Duties and Responsibilities:Operation and maintenance of Pressure Trucks, Hydrovacs, Combo Units, other assorted Vacuum Trucks, and various specialty tools – work alongside Labourers you will spend 90% of your day outside of the truck, boots on the groundComplete minor maintenance and checks on equipmentEnsure safety for all team members and propertyProvide quality services to our clientsWork as part of a team and follow direction from supervisionLeave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job doneHaul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being doneComplete required paperwork for projects and jobsChallenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every timeRole Specifications:Valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredDriving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)Prior experience driving a Pressure or Vacuum Trucks is an asset1+ years of operator experience in an industrial environmentFirst Aid, H2S Alive and CSO certification would be an assetConfined Space and Fall Protection certification an asset but not required, we will train youAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testSkills:Strong mechanical aptitudeProficient with driving manual transmissions on commercial vehicles  You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipmentEnjoyment for physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis) Additional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be an exhausted list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required.To learn more, please also visit our page to view upcoming job fairs and events or follow us on Facebook.
