Rainbow District School Board with schools in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island requires a Contract Social Worker to work supporting our schools in Sudbury. Under the supervision of the Mental Health Lead the successful candidates will provide social work services, build knowledge of mental health, promoting mentally healthy habits and skills. The social worker will perform clinical assessment and intervention with individual students. From an attachment informed perspective this includes supporting intervention with families. Consultation and collaboration with school personnel and community agencies will enhance the academic success and social-emotional wellbeing of each student. The successful candidate must have a Masters of Social Work, be registered with the College of Social Workers of Ontario and have extensive training and experience working in the area of youth mental health, trauma work and family based treatment. Candidates should have knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent communication and report writing skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is required. As this position requires travel between sites, a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are mandatory.
