Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 01/04/2026About this opportunity: Reporting to the Coordinator, Field Operations, the Operator will perform safe start ups of newly drilled wells and perform day-to-day operations of single well batteries/pad sites at Cenovus Pad sites. This role will support field operations to reduce downtime and maximize production. The operator will aid, coach, and mentor new operators and ensure the safe and efficient operation of their facility ensuring it meets all the standards and expectations of Cenovus's Organizational culture.Interested in working in Lloydminster? Work Environment: This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area This is a full-time employee position working a shift rotation (8&6)What you’ll do: Operate single well batteries and pad sites in a safe and effective manner, while working collaboratively with all groups.Maintain and troubleshoot all area-specific equipment to optimize performance to meet production targets and reduce downtime, working very close with engineering group to optimize wells.Maintain and validate production and facilities records as required for accuracy and regulatory reporting such as volume reporting, Fuel Flare Vent System (FFVS) reporting, log sheets, inspections, oil and gas sampling, participation in well reviews and engineering assessmentsConduct Safe Control of Work activities including work authorization, energy isolation, confined spaceIdentify and report incidents, near misses and hazard Ids including corrective actions to support Incident ManagementRespond to emergencies following the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and Incident Command System (ICS)Who you are: Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements: Legally authorized to work in Canada Minimum grade 12 diploma5+ years' experience in Oil & gas industryKnowledge of operation of surface and down hole equipment pertaining to wells and test vessels for producing accurate production numbers and experienceWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement. As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments. For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
