Job DescriptionAECOM is searching for an Municipal EIT to be based in our Kelowna, BC office. The ideal successful candidate will have a experience and a general understanding of civil design and construction with municipal storm water, water and wastewater projects. They will be expected to work successfully within a team environment and be able to communicate effectively with other project team members and clients. They will have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy, and enthusiasm for getting things done The successful candidate will be expected to support in the delivery of linear conveyance infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal storm water, water and wastewater sector.Responsibilities of this position include:Planning and design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater/drainage conveyance facilitiesWriting of technical memorandums and reportsPerforming construction inspectionsPreparing documentation for design projects and reportsAssisting with the preparation of construction cost estimatesAssisting with the preparation of project specifications and contract documentsQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, registered as an EIT with EGBC2+ years of related experience with civil design and construction of municipal storm water, water and wastewater projectsPreferred Qualifications :Experience in civil engineering, hydraulic modelling, planning, and design construction inspectionWorking knowledge of contract documentation including MMCD and CCDCWorking knowledge of water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environmentWorking knowledge of blue and green infrastructure: ponds, wetlands, bioswales, raingardens, etc.Excellent written skills needed for technical reportsValid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicleExcellent attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clientsComfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.Sponsorship assistance is not available for this position.About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
