Job Description Location: Kelowna, BC office. We are searching for a Municipal EIT to support the delivery of linear conveyance infrastructure to customers within the municipal storm water, water and wastewater sector. The ideal candidate will have experience and a general understanding of civil design and construction with municipal storm water, water and wastewater projects. They will work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and clients. The candidate should have a high level of initiative, motivation, and display drive, energy, and enthusiasm for getting things done. Responsibilities Planning and design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater/drainage conveyance facilities. Writing technical memorandums and reports. Performing construction inspections. Preparing documentation for design projects and reports. Assisting with the preparation of construction cost estimates. Assisting with the preparation of project specifications and contract documents. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, registered as an EIT with EGBC. At least 2 years of related experience with civil design and construction of municipal storm water, water and wastewater projects. Preferred Qualifications Experience in civil engineering, hydraulic modelling, planning, and design construction inspection. Working knowledge of contract documentation including MMCD and CCDC. Working knowledge of water, wastewater, drainage conveyance infrastructure in a municipal environment. Knowledge of blue and green infrastructure (ponds, wetlands, bioswales, rain gardens, etc.). Excellent written skills for technical reports. Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle. Excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills with colleagues, contractors, and clients. Comfortable working in a multi‑disciplinary environment. Additional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Sponsorship assistance is not available for this position. Compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The proposed range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000 CAD per year.
