RESIDENT CARETAKER Victoria, BC This is a challenging position for someone who is interested in helping others and building a community. The Juliet is a beautiful 90 unit building in downtown Victoria. As the resident caretaker you would help both owners and renters with their needs. Duties include the physical upkeep of the building (such as cleaning common areas and power washing the parking entry) coordinating contractors to come on site for repairs, handling security issues and assisting with move-ins and move-outs. Past experience with building management and caretaking is required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others to resolve problems, such as homeless encampments and police contact. The job can be physical: standing, walking, bending. Basic computer skills are required. This full-time position offers a 1 bedroom with den unit for the below market rental cost of $800 per month as part of the compensation as well as competitive salary and benefits. You would live in the unit and provide services Monday-Friday with on call as needed in evenings and on weekends. This position reports to Tribe Management.
