Receiver Dartmouth, Nova ScotiaFull-Time Reference Number: CAN-ATL-DAR-075-040424 SUMMARYReporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Receiver is responsible for the daily unloading, receiving, handling, product rotation, optimization of warehouse storage, and workplace safety.  EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS Unloads rail cars, vans and flatbed trailers. Ensures receiving documentation policies and item/product tagging guidelines are followed. Processes and tallies inbound products stocks materials in designated locations. Ensures accuracy of receiving tallies and report any damages or discrepancies. Works closely with the Operations Supervisor to maximize warehouse layout, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiencies. Works closely with the Lead hand to fulfill customer commitments for outbound loads. Works closely with the Shipping and Receiving clerk to coordinate inbound load scheduling. Maintains product rotation, ensuring FIFO flow is in place. Maintains a clean and organized warehouse and yard. Conducts spot inventory counts as required. Identifies safety hazards in the warehouse and yard and provides solutions for improvement. Adheres to customer service commitments. Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations. RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Minimum two years’ experience in Receiving and Inventory Control Forklift training and the ability to operate large forklifts required. Trained in the use of a chainsaw would be considered an asset. Good knowledge of shipping/receiving practices Attention to detail. Must have own steel-toed boots.
