As a Certified Instrument Mechanic, your responsibilities will include: Following Canfor’s safe work and lockout procedures to meet the highest safety standards Building and maintaining strong working relationships with team members and other departments Installing, calibrating, maintaining, and tuning equipment to ensure peak performance Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation and control system issues as they arise For this role, we are looking for candidates who have: Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic certification within the province of British Columbia and/or Interprovincial Red Seal certification Experience in Process Controls, DCS, Instrumentation, Valves & Valve repairs, and Transmitter Installation & Calibrations Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner Ability to work independently and in a team environment Solid background in heavy industry and construction Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry is an asset, as is an electrical trade background What’s in it for you: Our people-focused approach prioritizes our employees’ safety, well-being, and growth because they are critical to the success of our company.
