On T4   Position Summary The Site Installation Supervisor oversees and coordinates all on-site installation activities for rail systems deployment. This role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines while managing subcontractors and liaising with engineering and project management team.   Key Accountabilities / Key Areas of Responsibility Supervise installation of signaling, telecom, and electrical systems at project sites. Ensure adherence to installation procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate daily work plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress against schedule. Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of installation activities, including progress reports and quality checks. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to ensure smooth execution. Manage subcontractor’s performance and compliance with contractual obligations. Support test and commissioning activities as required. Manages the planning and scheduling of installation. Ensure that all employees (including the sub-contractor’s) comply with the Health and Safety requirements such as detailed in the reference documents in the Project Management Plan, as well as all other applicable safety policies/work instructions. Ensures all site installation drawings, documents, and SW releases are kept current to relevant revisions. Ensures that “as-built”information is recorded as the work progresses and is submitted to Toronto for updating of documentation. Performs some PICO testing and assists in T&C activities as required.   Key Requirements: Skills, Experience, Education, Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Certifications, Language Experience: 3–5 years in rail systems installation or similar infrastructure projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CENELEC standards, signaling systems, and installation best practices. Certifications: Valid safety certifications (e.G., OSHA, First Aid). Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills;proficiency in MS Office and project management tools. Experience in task planning, including estimation, performance tracking and reporting Experience in installation and testing of train control system   Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-scale rail deployment projects. Knowledge of fiber optic and telecom systems. PMP or equivalent project management certification. Fluency in English, both written and verbal;   Health, Safety, Environment and Wellbeing Adhere to all company health and safety policies and legal regulations. Identify and report hazards promptly. Promote sustainability initiatives and responsible resource use. Foster an inclusive and respectful workplace   Special Position Requirements Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week;occasional weekend work during critical phases.
