Onboarding Tax Advisor

Overview As a Tax Advisor on the National Member Onboarding team, you will play a key role in welcoming new members and setting the stage for their long-term success. This role combines the expertise of a tax professional with the relationship-focused responsibilities of client onboarding. You will collaborate with internal teams and FBC Members to understand their financial situation, review historical data, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience.You will be responsible for guiding FBC Members through the onboarding process, ensuring their information is accurate, their accounts are properly set up, and they are introduced to our full range of services, including bookkeeping, payroll, legal assistance, and financial and estate planning support.The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional service. This position offers continuous learning and professional development opportunities, ideal for someone eager to grow their tax and client service expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional tax and bookkeeping advice to MembersConduct new Member reviews of prior year returnsPreparation of T1, T2, T3 and GST/HST type returnsSetup systems by entering historical dataFoster strong relationships with MembersRecognize Member needs and connect them with our other domain experts within the company and network.Education and ExperienceComprehensive experience with at least one full corporate tax cycle; 3+ cycles preferred and considered a strong asset.Proficiency in tax preparation & accounting software, specifically with Taxprep/IFirm, Xero is an assetStrong proficiency in corporate tax processes and regulations.Experience preparing tax returnsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesSuperior client service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesProven ability to consistently meet deadlinesDedicated to providing financial support that empowers MembersStrong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendationsWhy FBC?At FBC, we’re committed to helping you grow into the best version of yourself—whether that’s mastering your craft or leveling up your career.
