With locations and projects across North America and beyond, exciting opportunities are waiting for you in dozens of cities. As a Communications Specialist for our Solar Canada office, you will contribute to our team by:ResponsibilitiesCreates communication plans for small to mid-size projects and related initiatives, and ensures they are measurable.Create and manage written and visual content for internal and external platforms, ensuring alignment with IMC strategy, brand guidelines, and KPIs.Develop and implement communication plans for projects and initiatives, monitor performance through dashboards, and align campaigns with marketing objectives.Act as a strategic communications advisor to senior leaders and stakeholders, fostering alignment and support for key initiatives.Manage external communications and media relationships, develop PR strategies, pitch stories, and support crisis response efforts.Execute social media strategies, monitor engagement, identify trends, and position the organization as a thought leader through campaigns and speaking opportunities.Provide guidance and coaching to junior staff and students, ensuring best practices and data-driven decision-making.Plan and deliver high-profile events, manage budgets, and track ROI to inform future strategies.Ensure consistent application of brand standards across all communications and lead initiatives to enhance brand visibility.Oversee the communications request process, manage intake and prioritization, and report on service metrics and client satisfaction. QualificationsPostsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.5-7 years of progressive experience in a communications role.Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.Proven ability to develop and manage integrated communication plans.Strong analytical skills to interpret data and measure effectiveness.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools; familiarity with specialized software.Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.Strong organizatoinal, reserch and decsision-makings skills; able to manage confidential information.The estimated salary range for this role is $75,000 - $97,500, based on your experience and qualifications.
