You’ll work in a supportive environment that values collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning.Role Summary:The Dispatcher plays a vital role at the heart of daily operations, acting as the central link between drivers, customers, and internal teams. This role is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and optimizing the movement of goods, ensuring on-time performance, compliance with procedures, and seamless communication across all channels.A successful dispatcher is a strong communicator, strategic thinker, and calm problem-solver—able to adapt quickly to changing conditions, prioritize tasks, and make real-time decisions that keep operations running smoothly.Hours of Work:  2am to 10amWork Arrangement: On-SitePosition Type: Non-UnionEmployment Status: Full-TimeCompensation: $50,000 - $58,000Work Location & Environment: 85 Bessemer Rd Unit 4-6, London, ON. Warehouse/distribution center environment.Key Accountabilities:In this role, you will:Route Planning & Optimization: Assign and adjust routes to maximize efficiency, reduce delays, and ensure timely deliveries and pickups.Driver Support & Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, providing directions, instructions, and support throughout the day.Load Management: Schedule and track freight and package volumes, balancing driver capacity with service expectations.Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to unexpected events (traffic, mechanical issues, missed deliveries), finding solutions while maintaining service quality.System & Compliance Monitoring: Use dispatching and logistics systems (e.g., TMS, GPS tracking) to log activity, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with safety and company protocols.Customer Communication: Coordinate with customer service and clients to relay status updates, resolve concerns, and maintain positive relationships.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activity, incidents, driver logs, and daily reports.Performs other duties as requiredQualificationsWe’re looking for someone who brings:Education & Experience:1-2 years’ operations/dispatch experience an assetKnowledge of truckload dispatch an asset ACE and Customs/border crossing experience an asset AS400/ICC experience an asset Skills & Attributes:Strong organizational and time-management skills — able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficientlyExcellent verbal and written communication skills — clear, concise, and professional in all interactionsProven ability to multitask in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsCreative and effective problem-solving mindset — able to think on your feet and adapt to challengesExceptional attention to detail — accuracy is key in dispatch and complianceStrong self-discipline, initiative, and ability to work independently — dependable without constant supervisionCollaborative and team-oriented attitude — works well with drivers, colleagues, and clientsWorking knowledge of routing software, GPS tracking systems, and transportation management systems (TMS)Understanding of DOT regulations and commitment to safety and compliance standardsHow To Apply:If you’re interested in joining our team, please submit your application through our online career portal.
