OVERVIEW The Echo Technologist is responsible for processing and testing patients for echocardiogram, doppler, TEE, Stress Echo, Contrast Echo and Paediatric Echo testing. EDUCATION - Graduate of an accredited educational program in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography. - Mandatory membership to CMRITO College of Medical Radiation Imaging Technologists of Ontario. - Current registration as a Registered Diagnostic Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), AND/OR current registration as a Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS) with Sonography Canada. - Current BCLS certification. - Certification in IV skills an asset.
