Are you looking for a flexible employer that will give you the opportunity to grow within the company?This job is for youSanimax is looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our teamWould you like to contribute your talent to that of our employees?The selected candidate will have the opportunity to gain significant experience in Health and Safety, receive training, work closely with the Health and Safety teams from other Districts, participate in the follow-up of the prevention program, and contribute to the development of improvement projects in an industrial environment—more specifically within the agri-food sector.Why join SanimaxCompetitive salary and annual bonus;Comprehensive group insurance plan (dental, medical, life, disability, etc.);Telemedicine and Employee Assistance Program;Retirement plan with employer contribution;Reimbursement for gym memberships and physical activities;Professional development and career advancement opportunities within the company;On-site gym.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with various stakeholders to maintain and strengthen the Health and Safety culture;Review the prevention program and its procedures, and ensure the program is properly maintained;Provide support and conduct audits to uphold safe work practices;Keep the employee training plan up to date and deliver training sessions;Develop tools, improvement processes, communication methods, and follow-ups to support Health and Safety ownership in the workplace;Participate in H&S programs such as heat stress prevention, gas exposure prevention, incident reporting and investigation, risk identification and management, and preparation of required postings;Learn and properly use the company’s systems and software;Serve as a reference resource for leaders and supervisors to guide decisions and initiatives related to Health and Safety;Implement District action plans and annual objectives, as well as corporate processes and directives;Promote a strong H&S culture by leading by example and collaborating with the H&S committee and leadership teams;Perform any other related duties (participating in various meetings, supporting operations and transportation teams, etc.);Ensure the proper functioning of Health and Safety committees;Perform field presence, road accompaniment, and risk analysis at client sites.Requirements1–3 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, management, or an equivalent educational background:Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or Industrial Relations, DEC or certificate in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent training;Strong teamwork skills and ease in presenting to workers and colleagues;Good analytical and critical thinking skills;Ability to learn quickly, resourcefulness, and autonomy;Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously, including prioritization and change management;Experience in the agri-food, food, or environmental sector (asset);Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations;Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Give meaning to your career and help us make a difference: become a transformation championFollow us on LinkedInThank you for your interest in joining our team.
