Temporary employees receive an additional $0.58/hour in lieu of benefits and have 6% vacation pay paid out with each pay.Description:As a member of our Workforce Training & Continuing Education (WTCE) team, the Project Assistant will coordinate various grant-funded projects according to the project plans, deliverables, and timelines including tracking and monitoring budgets ($10,000-$100,000).This role serves as the lead contact for all projects, liaising with the Ministry, WorkBC, students, staff, and faculty, with all enquiries related to the projects, and will coordinate and attend all virtual and in-person project meetings.The Project Assistant will prepare all related documents including project updates, financial reports, and program narrative reports. In preparation of future projects and/or to suggest improvements on current project activity, this position will gather information through various resources and compile the data to report to the Operations Manager.The weekly schedule will ideally be Monday – Friday, with hours of work scheduled between 8:00am – 5:00pm (to be determined with the successful candidate).  This position may be based on either the Dawson Creek or Fort St John campus. Qualifications:REQUIRED: One year of post-secondary education, with preference given to those who have a recent Office Administration certificate, and two years of related experience. (An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered).Proficiency and experience with a current version of Microsoft Office.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong organizational and teamwork abilities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively multi-task.Hold a current, valid driver's licenseBe a current resident of, and legally authorized to work in, Canada.
