Job Details Description We have an opportunity for a Data Integration Specialist with ETL/ELT development experience to join our Integration Delivery team at Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC). In collaboration with the Integration Delivery team, you will play a lead role in WCLC’s data and analytics strategy by being the primary ETL developer and responsible for all data pipelines across WCLC’s business systems, primarily utilizing the Boomi iPaaS platform to create data pipelines. This is a hybrid role, requiring two days a week in our Winnipeg office. The successful candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from diverse sources, transform it according to business requirements, and load it into target data warehouses Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, efficient ETL solutions. Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring data integrity and minimal latency. Develop and maintain data models, mappings, and documentation to support reporting, analytics, and data governance. Respond to operational requests, incidents and execute data processes in various environments. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in ETL jobs, data quality, and data flows. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data. Support migration projects and integration efforts, including onboarding of new data sources and systems. Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and governance standards throughout the ETL process. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging ETL tools, cloud services, and technologies. Qualifications and Competencies An undergraduate or college degree in computer science. Equivalent experience may also be considered. At least five years of IT or IT-related experience. Strong communication/collaboration skills, a positive attitude, and a drive to succeed and always learn Must have at least 2 years of ETL/ELT or data integration development experience using a framework/suite (e.g., AWS, Azure, Boomi, Informatica, Mulesoft, Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, AWS Glue). Must have experience designing and implementing ETL processes for loading analytical environments (data marts, data warehouses, data lakes) and working with dimensional data models as targets. Experience with Boomi iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) is an asset. Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Cloud Data Tools is an asset Who we are You may not be very familiar with WCLC, but you’re almost certainly familiar with the products we help bring to players throughout the Prairie Provinces and the North every day; lottery games like LOTTO 6/49, SPORT SELECT, and dozens of instant scratch tickets.
