This course focuses on the investment decision- making process from the perspective of portfolio managers. Topics covered include, but are not limited to, the theories and practices in creating, maintaining, and evaluating the performance of investment portfolios. This course will be delivered so that it integrates the basic investment concepts taught in undergraduate Finance courses and delineates investment process at a more advanced level. In delivering the above topics, current research findings will also be shared with students. Since delegated portfolio management is a main theme of the course, emphasis will be placed on adhering to ethical standards when dealing with clients. This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.” It is understood that some announcements of vacancies are tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment.Summer 2026 Session Dates: May 4, 2025 - August 31, 2025 or May 4, July 31, 2025Note: All positions involve completion of all course grading. Minimum Qualifications Completed MAF2003H or equivalent portfolio management courses with distinction (“A”)  Preferred Qualifications - Master's Degree-completed all three levels of the CFA exam- Previous graduate level TA experience is preferred   Relevant Criterion Previous experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. Duties Prepare marking rubrics, marking and providing detailed comments (both oral and written) to students on case assignments, midterm and final exams, and recording the grades. Provide detailed feedback of student’s performance and learning strategies to instructor.Closing Date: 03/02/2026, 11:59PM EDT**    This job is posted in accordance with the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement.      It is understood that some announcements of vacancies are tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment. Should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.        Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.      Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
