You will be accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Intermediate Third Party Bodily Injury claims. What can you expect in this role?Reporting to the Team Leader, Casualty, you are accountable for managing a portfolio of Intermediate Bodily Injury Claims.Engage all stakeholders in the effective management of a claim including underwriting and senior leadershipConfirming policy coverages, investigating claims to determine liability and quantum. Maintaining detailed file records. Attending/participating in mediations, pre-trials and settlement initiatives.Settle claims directly with Plaintiff’s Counsel. Direct and Instruct Defence Counsel. Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions, whether with customer, co-workers or vendorsPerform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressureStrive to continually push the boundaries of your adjusting experience and personal learningsTeam player adaptable to changing environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently What do you bring to the role?University degree, a college diploma or the CIP designationMinimum 3 years of claims handling experience Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workersPerform well in a busy operation and remain calm under pressureTeam player adaptable to a changing environmentYou’re dependable with strong interpersonal skillsYou have strong communication skillsYou’re focused on building engagement and cultureProficient in MS Office and strong computer skillsBilingualism in both English and French or other languages is an assetLicensed in multiple provinces is an assetSalary range: $50,200 - $92,500 Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
