This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.Responsibilities:Oversee design process from feasibility through completion and liaise directly with clients on major projectsPerform detailed electrical design work and review the work of junior designers. Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to clientPrepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and auditsPrepare written tender documents and technical specifications. Evaluate products and contractor proposals in order to make award recommendations to ownerWork with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineeringAssist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow businessQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering P.Eng. registration in CanadaMinimum 6 years of experience in engineering consultingCAD experience is requiredAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2006/2004/2008/2010.Knowledge of lighting software and basic engineering is preferredStrong communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast paced environmentJob Type:RegularJob Profile: For internal useTransportation Electrical Engineering IVAttention Staffing & Recruitment Agencies: Morrison Hershfield, now Stantec, will not pay fees for recruitment activities related to the hiring of a candidate unless a written service agreement has been established between a duly authorized representative of our Corporate Human Resources department and the recruitment/placement firm.
