Under the direction of the Manager of Clinical Practice, you will provide client-centered care in the home and community setting, helping individuals achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.Celebrate Your Milestones with UsJOINING BONUS – Up to $5,000$1,000 after first 100 visits$2,000 after next 400 visits$2,000 after next 500 visitsJOIN Bayshore, Stay with Bayshore.Key Responsibilities (Depending on your assignment)Clinical Responsibilities:Conduct home safety and environmental assessments and develop individualized treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies that aligns with best practiceMaintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with the College of Occupational Therapists of OntarioCollaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to ensure comprehensive careCommunicate treatment recommendations and provide education to clients and caregiversSupervise and guide support personnel involved in therapy programs as appropriateComplete documentation and submit written reports to funder in accordance to contractual timelinesLiaise with community stakeholders to assist client in renting or obtaining necessary medical equipment, and complete funding application as necessaryOther Responsibilities:Maintain active registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario along with valid professional liability/malpractice insuranceMentoring or precepting OT studentsParticipate in ongoing professional developmentAdhere to Bayshore policies and proceduresContribute to quality improvement initiativesPromote health and safety practices and report any concernsMaintain confidentiality of client and corporate informationPerform additional tasks as assignedJob QualificationQualificationsMaster’s Degree (or equivalent) in Occupational TherapyRegistered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of OntarioCurrent professional liability/malpractice insuranceExperience:1–2 years of clinical experience practicing Occupational Therapy (in-home care experience is an asset)Assistive Devices Program (ADP) Authorizer status is considered an asset; willingness to pursue with evidence of pursuit to obtain ADP authorizer status is also considered an assetExperience supervising and delegating treatment plan to physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistants (PTA/OTA) is considered an assetSkills & Abilities:Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a teamComfortable in a fast-paced, client-focused environmentAbility to manage challenging situations with professionalismProficient with personal computers and secure email systemsSelf-directed with a commitment to continuous learningAdditional RequirementsValid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicleClear criminal background check with vulnerable sector screeningProof of TB clearanceTwo supervisory referencesNew Graduates Are Welcome to ApplyVaccination PolicyBayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.
