Additional benefits include: Approximate hourly wage: $30.75 - 32.67 Free onsite parking Access to thousands of perks vendors and discounts through our WorkPerks program, including excellent discounts for apparel, restaurants, technology, fitness, travel, and tickets to some of your favorite sports and entertainment events Access to continuing education and training through Shannex’s Centre of Excellence Opportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiatives Recognition and Rewards for service excellence and safety About the Opportunity Assists residents with hygiene and daily living activities, such as: bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobilizing according to the work assignment; Collaborates with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of an individualized Resident Care Plan; Assists in the planning and implementation of resident leisure activities on a daily basis; Assists with light housekeeping duties; Performs delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice; Communicates and reports relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: A valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent; Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays; Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire; Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS (required); Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset; Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care course considered an asset; Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset; A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care About Us Shannex is a family-owned organization with a vision of Better Living for every stage of life.
