Produce Technician

What you’ll do: Legacy Co-op is recruiting a Part–Time Produce Technician to work in a new, year-round indoor greenhouse producing fresh, local vegetables for the community. Reporting to the Produce Manager, you will be responsible for delivering legendary service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here” through:Harvest, clean, and package fresh produce. Complete regular operating tasks in the farm, including seeding, transplanting, and regular cleaning and maintenance. Deliver produce when required.Assist with implementing strategies to improve produce sales and actively be involved in marketing efforts such as promoting food production and good eating habits by arranging in-store sampling. As you become more familiar with the technology, you may be asked to aid in identifying or troubleshooting issues that may arise, including of a mechanical or horticultural nature.Maintain appropriate records including markdown reports and growing/harvest records.Who you are: You are excited to expand your skills by learning new technologies and food production systems.
