Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada’s oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with three facilities across Canada. In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our food products division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils, and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets.

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician at our Yorkton, SK location.

Responsibilities:
- Full chemical analysis on all stages of oil processing from seed to refined, bleached and deodorized oils- Ensure products are being made according to documented internal Richardson and customer requirements- Providing release approval to pre-load and load oil products- Provide analysis for non-conforming products and feedback to production on required analysis- Verify incoming raw materials meet food safety quality requirements- Conduct retained sample collection and ensure samples are controlled for the required period of time- Recognize actual / potential food safety and quality issues- Conduct inspection and testing analysis on incoming raw materials, additional in-process and finished product- Formulation of additives blends- Carrying out Food Safety Audits

Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or Chemistry - an asset- 3 - 5 years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment- Familiar with GMP and HACCP- Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills- Must be willing to work shifts and overtime
