Control/Dispatch OfficerGuardteck Security is seeking professional, friendly, and detail-oriented Control / Dispatch Officers to join a high-profile security team based in Vancouver. This role is ideal for individuals with strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and experience working in security operations or monitoring environments.The Control / Dispatch Officer plays a critical role in supporting site operations by monitoring multiple security systems, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely communication between security personnel, supervisors, and external emergency services. Officers work from an advanced on-site security office and are responsible for maintaining accurate records while responding to incidents in a calm, professional manner.Position Duties:Monitor and operate security and life-safety systems, including but not limited to access control systems, CCTV, and fire panels / fire monitoring systemsReceive, assess, and document security-related notifications, incidents, and issues from various departmentsRelay incident details and operational updates to appropriate internal teams and stakeholdersDispatch security officers to investigate alarms, respond to incidents, and follow established escalation procedures while coordinating with SupervisorsNotify emergency services when required and ensure responders have clear and immediate access to the siteMonitor system performance and report any deficiencies or malfunctions to the Security SupervisorTrack the location, status, and activities of security officers during assigned shiftsCommunicate concerns, observations, and process improvement suggestions to the Supervisory teamMaintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and data entry in required systemsRespond to emails and telephone calls in a professional, timely, and customer-focused mannerPerform other duties as required to support overall security operationsSkills & Qualification Requirements:Valid BC Security LicenseSecurity Monitoring Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a security operations center, dispatch role, monitoring desk, or similar environment within executive, corporate, or high-profile settingsCommunication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to accurately capture, document, and relay informationCritical Thinking: Ability to multitask, assess situations quickly, and make sound decisions under pressureMaintains a calm, professional, and composed demeanor at all times, particularly during emergency situationsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsComfortable working independently as well as within a team-based environmentComputer Literacy: Intermediate proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams#GTHPGuardteck Security is a BC owned and operated security firm providing professional security services across Canada.
