Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Wellness will lead a clinical team to provide care support and services. This is a Permanent Full-Time position. And we offer a number of programs and benefits that support team members’ financial, personal and professional needs: A competitive salary and vacation package Health & Dental benefits program RRSP with employer match Share Ownership and Reward Program (SOAR) Employee Share Purchase Plan with company match Continuous learning and growth so you have the skillset needed to succeed and take on new challenges A welcoming culture that values diversity and differing perspectives, experiences and beliefs What you’ll be doing: You will be a welcomed member of the Aspira Management team and impact in the following ways: Ensure resident’s needs are assessed; develop service plans of care and determine corresponding care fees and team member requirements as applicable Monitor all resident incidents and direct team members regarding interventions to prevent reoccurrence as applicable Monitor the quality indicators and evaluates nursing and related services to ensure quality of resident care. (Falls, Behaviours, Infection Control etc.) Responsible for departmental recruitment, selection, orientation, development, scheduling and performance management of Guest Attendants, Unregulated Care Providers, and Registered Practical Nurses. Develop and maintain professional and collaborative relationships with hospital team members and our home and community care partners. Participate in marketing outreach such as presentations on wellness services and aging in place philosophy, and interview prospective residents conducting assessments to determine suitability for admission Participate in the preparation of the department budget and administer the approved budget within established parameters Who you are: An exceptional manager with a demonstrated track record of delivering results and continuously improving performance A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS). Minimum three years’ experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment Can demonstrate strong technology skills in Microsoft Office suite programs What you need to know: Sienna Senior Living is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and residents feel like they belong.
