SummaryWe are currently recruiting for a Materials & Logistics (Shipper/Receiver/Materials Handler) Summer Student to work at our Edmonton Automation Centre location on a full-time basis from May to August 2026. This position reports to the Manager, Materials Handling.Role and Responsibilities Handle customer communications regarding shipping/receiving Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers Handle incoming, outgoing and internal deliveries Package outgoing shipments Handle inventory/stock, conduct stock counts, as required Computerized data input on various operating systems Picking orders Internal and external Customer communication Inventory floor maintenance Stock replenishment Customer counter interaction Maintain a safe work environment and actively participate in Spartans safety culture Maintain on-time delivery Maintain a clean work area Provide quality packaging and accurate receipts Qualifications and Skills High School Diploma Previous shipping/receiving and/or warehouse experience is considered an asset Basic computer skills Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset Forklift operation (certification is considered an asset but training will be provided) Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Superior customer service Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, and awareness of surroundings, in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive environment Superior work ethic Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
