Summary:Our Thunder Bay location is hiring for Sample Preparation Technicians to assist us in preparing samples for laboratory analysis. The schedule for this role will be 12 hour shifts 4 days on, 4 days off rotational days and nights.
Schedules will be 8 PM - 8 AM or 8 AM - 8 PM. The expected wage for this position is $20.00/hr. The expected end date of the position June 15th, 2026.
What you will
be doing:Unpack, sort, check, crush and pulverize mineral samples using specialized equipmentSafely follow standard operating procedures, and perform quality control checks as requiredEnter sample data into computer, ensuring accurate detailsWhat you bring to the table:High School DiplomaFork Lift certification/license is an assetAbility to lift 25 kg on a consistent basisHand-Eye coordination and attention to detailIntermediate computer skillsFluency in English, both verbal and writtenAbility to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environmentAbility to work independently and in a team environment, with a mature work ethicProblem solving, communication, organization, and time managementCommitment to the production of accurate and timely resultsMust be able to wear a respirator and other PPE properly and follow all safety protocolsMust be flexible to work day and night shifts including weekends on a 4 days on 4 days off rotationWho We Are:AGAT Laboratories is a premier full-service laboratory operating at the cutting edge of science and innovation across North America.
