You must have the integrity and self-confidence to bring our programming to life.In this role, you will conduct research and interviews, write copy, process audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content for delivery across various platforms (web, mobile, social media, radio, TV), in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices. Also, you could be asked to perform the duties of Regional Lineup Editor in the afternoon during weekends.Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday. The schedule may vary to accommodate production requirements.We are looking for a candidate with the following:  Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or the equivalentThree (3) years’ journalism experience or the equivalentSkills:Extensive general knowledgeGood knowledge of current events in the North Coast and in the Eastern TownshipsSolid command of the French languageKnowledge of English is an assetKnowledge of communication techniques specific to the platforms (TV, radio, digital), as well as interviewing techniquesKnowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and PracticesMust possess a valid driver’s license as well as a driving record that meets the minimum requirements of CBC/Radio-Canada's insurance companyAbility to work well in a team, while being independent, resourceful and self-startingCreative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact gatheringGood knowledge of how to produce digital reports and manage social mediaAbility to work well under pressure to tight deadlinesSelected candidates will be tested as follows:InterviewCandidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the nextstep will be asked to complete a background check.
