Join us and be part of something greater - where business and culture unite, in the heart of the Land of the Midnight Sun Job Summary Chief Isaac Mechanical is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery. This role requires a highly skilled technician who can troubleshoot complex mechanical systems and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy-duty equipment and trucks. Repairs & Maintenance: Perform engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake work, and hydraulic system servicing. Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Welding & Fabrication: Perform basic welding and fabrication when necessary for equipment repairs. Parts Management: Order and install replacement parts while maintaining inventory records. Safety Compliance: Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of work performed, inspections, and parts used. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. Certification: Red Seal or Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems in heavy machinery. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment efficiently. Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting heavy components and working in physically demanding environments. Driver's License: Valid driver's license with air brake endorsement preferred. Why Join Us?
