Apply Today Workplace type: HybridJob location: Calgary, ABEmployment type: Full-time Reporting to Senior Category Manager, Category Specialist is accountable for developing supply chain category management strategies and solutions for various operational spend categories (materials and services) to leverage Graham spend and reduce risks. While focusing on the requirements of internal stakeholders, the incumbent delivers a better value supply chain by embedding category strategies into projects, ensuring supply chain solutions are delivered through an alignment of operational procurement requirements and category management principles. The incumbent delivers and manages Master Services Agreements (MSAs) for materials and services provided to various business units, ensuring financial savings and performance improvements through a strategic approach to supply chain management. This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.  As a Category Specialist at Graham, you will: Lead cross functional teams, develop and implement supply chain category management strategies which meet internal stakeholders’ requirementsWork closely with internal stakeholders to understand internal client requirements and implement the most appropriate supply chain solutionsConduct RFx eventsDraft, execute, and implement MSAs with key suppliers/service providers to support business unit requirementsWork closely with internal stakeholders to promote MSAs across the organizationConduct spend data mining and analysis using Excel and Power BIDeliver targeted savings/cost avoidance/rebatesAssume accountability for the cost reduction and performance of the supply chain in assigned categoriesAct as the liaison between internal stakeholders and key suppliers/service providersMonitor and manage supplier performance by conducting regular vendor relationships meetingsDemonstrate HSE and Quality behaviors that reflect corporate expectations of Actively Caring and Road to ZeroDemonstrate business professionalism that is in line with Graham’s core values of commitment, integrity, and reliabilityProblem-solve complex issues finding an effective supply chain solution that works for all stakeholders involvedConduct market intelligence to ensure beneficial decisions are made on behalf of the company.Support Senior Category Manager in delivering agreed upon objectivesAdhere to Graham processes, standards, and proceduresPrepare and support the placement of subcontract and material supply ordersOther related supply chain tasks Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or technical fieldSCMP designation or pursuit of SCMP is an asset5-8 years of progressive experience in supply chain with exposure to Strategic Sourcing and/or Category ManagementAbility to independently conduct RFx events, including but not limited to RFx drafting and issuance, supplier selection and evaluation, and contract award recommendationKnowledge of tender and contract procurement practices and processesAbility to independently draft contracts/amending agreementsStrong negotiation and communication skillsAbility to address internal client concerns in a timely mannerStrong relationship management skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a teamAbility to operate under pressure and meet tight and demanding deadlinesProficiency using Microsoft Office, Power BI.
