Description Position at FloForm Countertops Required immediately, our Winnipeg Branch is seeking a Full Time Countertop Templater to join the teamFLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.POSITION SUMMARY:The Templater is responsible for creating digital file/templates to be used in creating the final product which also involves programming CNC router and preparing CAD files both in shop and on job sites for fabrication of custom countertops in a range of materials. This often involves visiting customer homes to finalize the measurements.QUALIFICATIONS:Relevant post-secondary education with 1-2 years of experience with Microsoft office products, AutoCAD and CAM softwareExperience with kitchen and/or bathroom construction, installation or similarMinimum of 2 years’ experience in Templating or Fabrication/Installation/DraftingExperience with digital templatingExperience in reading blue prints/schematics, etc. along with experience with measurements and Intermediate mathematical skillsMust have strong face to face customer service skills, professional appearance, with good communication skills with appropriate command of the English language and the understanding and knowledge of how to deal with people effectively with varied backgroundsValid drivers license and a clear criminal record checkDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Travels to customers’ home/business to create templatesCompletes work orders noting all required measurements, polished edges, cut-outs (sinks, cook tops, faucet holes), plus radiuses in the tops and any other necessary specifications desired by the customer for the jobAdvises customers of any modifications required and providing critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation processesResponds to general customer inquiries while on-site and communicating any relevant information about the job to the salesperson, Operations staff or Production staff in a timely basisEnsures all work orders and completed templates are submitted no later than 24-48 hours from the time of templatingMaintains the company vehicle interior and exteriorCreates accurate digital drawings of countertops and sinks for installation.Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift, squat and stand for extended periods of timeAble to lift 50lbsRegular kneeling, bending, and twistingDay shift, Monday to Friday with the potential for overtimeSome out of town travelOther duties as assignedFLOFORM is proud to offer the successful Templater:Competitive wagesMedical and Dental Benefits Paid sick daysRRSP matchingFLOFORM Countertops offers a positive and fun working environment that rewards those who share in our mission: “To consistently provide our customers the best countertop purchasing experience available.”
