Role: Lead Data Engineer Location: Toronto, Ontario// Halifax, Nova Scotia// Vancouver, British Columbia Duration: 6 Months Job Description: We are seeking a skilled professional with expertise in both Python and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Computing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of cloud engineers, development teams, and product managers to design and build robust infrastructure on AWS. The role involves supporting complex ETL/ELT data pipelines and machine learning solutions, developing tools for experimentation, model training, and production operations. Required Skills & Qualifications: 6-8 years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Python and AWS Cloud Computing. Experience in data architecture and modeling. Strong understanding of DevOps-enabled end-to-end data solutions. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Experience in architecting scalable, low-latency systems. Knowledge of capacity planning and disaster recovery services. Familiarity with software development best practices and code review processes. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Collaborate with cloud engineers to design and build AWS infrastructure. Work with development teams to understand technical requirements and provision AWS services. Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers within the backend distributed systems team. Promote software development best practices and solve technical challenges.
