This position is responsible for setting up and dismantling the event spaces and taking on the labour tasks required to run successful events. What we offer to enhance your experience: A competitive compensation package complemented by attractive benefitsSeasoned event and hospitality professionals who will serve as your mentorsOpportunities to take the lead and mentorFlexible scheduling options to suit your lifestyleAccess to our Annual Scholarship ProgramEnjoy meal discounts, exclusive fitness membership discounts, and a range of other perks designed exclusively for our valued employees The successful candidate will be responsible for: Providing general labour for the conversion of the venue for various eventsPreparation of rooms for event set upSetup and taking down of chairs, tables, other event seating, stages etc.Operating and maintaining equipment such as forklifts, lawn mowers and other winter and summer landscaping equipment pertaining to venue operationsInspecting and maintaining inventory pertaining to venue operationsInspecting and maintaining venue exterior/interior walkways, pathways and other areasOperating equipment in a safe and proper manner while maintaining a safe working environment Complying with all health, safety & fire regulationsAssisting in fire alarm responseMaintaining awareness of emergency policies and proceduresProviding positive guidance and mentoring to Level 1 and fellow Level 2 crew membersLead by example in creating a positive work environment and moraleAttend meetings and representing the overall teamInspecting and approving work completed by co-workers and/or contractorsProviding orientation and training when required The successful candidate will have: A valid Alberta Class 5 divers license (abstract must be provided upon request)Experience in labour-type work with a focus on hotel events and/or tradeshowsSelf-motivated to perform duties in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision, respecting deadlines as per our Standard Operating Procedures Effective oral and written communication skillsCompetence in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook and venue management softwareWilling and able to work in all weather conditionsThe ability to lift 50 pounds repetitivelyAbility to use full range of manual dexterity (sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting)Availability for shifts in the early morning, late evening, overnight, weekends and some holidays If this role piques your interest, please submit your cover letter and resume by January 25, 2026.
