Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for an Clinical Planner to join the leadership team at Sechelt Hospital. This position will primarily focus on supporting ongoing implementation, education, and compliance monitoring for five new Regional Mental Health and Substance Use Standards for Suicide Prevention at the Sechelt Hospital, qathet Hospital, Heiltsuk Hospital, and Bella Coola Hospital. The role will work in partnership with each of the MHSU managers at these sites and travel throughout the Coastal Rural Community of Care will be required as dictated by the position. The role can be based out of either Powell River/qathet, the Sunshine Coast, or the North Shore and can be done as a hybrid position, including both remote and on-site work. Travel expenses will be covered as per the VCH 'Travel and Business Expense' reimbursement policy. Please note that while there is a posting up for this position in Powell River/qathet, the Sunshine Coast (Sechelt) and the North Shore (Lions Gate Hospital), there is only one position available. As a Clinical Planner with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
Undertake a lead role in planning and supporting the implementation of designated initiatives across the health authority. Ensure the identification and incorporation of evidence-based standards and best practices for care delivery, coordinates project development for a broad range of initiatives and ensures appropriate frameworks and processes for evaluation are in place.Qualifications
Education & Abilities
Masters Degree in a health related discipline. Five years recent experience related to the designated initiative or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation and evaluation.Knowledge & Expertise
Extensive knowledge & clinical experience in designated area Proven ability to manage complex projects Knowledge and experience in community development Demonstrated ability in change management and change processes Ability to undertake program evaluation Experience with budget development Demonstrated leadership skills with diverse populations and stakeholder groups Excellence in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office group of productsClosing Statement
