Position Details The Department of Political Science at the University of Lethbridge invites applications for a tenure-track position in Canadian Politics, with a concentration on Constitutional Law, and with additional ability to teach in the subfield of International Relations. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor. The expected start date of the appointment is July 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be $79,132 to $98,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in Political Science or a closely related field. We seek candidates who will contribute broadly to the delivery of curriculum in the Department’s academic concentrations (Political Science, International Relations, Canadian Public Policy, and Philosophy). The successful candidate will be expected to mount an externally funded research program that includes both undergraduate and graduate students and will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in the above fields and Canadian Constitutional Law.  The position will involve graduate teaching and supervision, and the successful candidate must be suitable for appointment to the . Ideally, the candidate’s research programme and funding will be attractive to international graduate students.  The successful candidate will bring complementary experience and expertise to the department that will support the diversification of our curricular and research interests.
