Current credentialed member of Sonography Canada. Completion of a Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) program. Demonstrated ability to assess requests and prioritize them to ensure excellent and prompt patient care. Proven ability to adapt standard work procedures to emergency situations. Demonstrated compassion and respect for the patient, family and support persons in the provision of imaging services Responsibilities: Perform routine and emergency procedures in accordance with established methods as described in departmental Policies and Procedures manuals, while documenting high quality images. Including but not limited to abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts. Experience in musculoskeletal, neurosonography, vascular imaging, as well as assisting in interventional procedures an asset. Operate, troubleshoot and ensure ultrasound, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner. Prepare written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results. Ability to work all shifts including standby. Demonstrated commitment to be an integral part of the diagnostic imaging team to ensure smooth workflow within the department as well between the department and other departments in the hospital.
