The period of campus closure that occurs between Christmas and New Year's Day is unpaid time.Description:NLC's Health Sciences programs requires temporary, relief instructors to teach courses across the Health Care Assistant, Access to Practical Nursing, or Practice Nursing programs. Course topics may include communications, professional practice, health promotions, variations, pharmacology, integrated practice, or consolidated practice.This position is located in Dawson Creek, BC. Qualifications: Required:Completion of an accredited Diploma in Practical Nursing, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.Current unrestricted full registration as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.Minimum of two or more years of full-time Canadian Nursing experience with relevant knowledge of the Canadian healthcare system and of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members and current policies and procedures within residential and community care settings.Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners: completion of the Provincial Instructor Diploma Program or willingness to enroll and complete within 5 years.
