This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world. This position is for a newly created position. Major Responsibilities: Provide evaluation and recommendation of tools, platforms, and standards (e.g., APIs, middleware, messaging systems) best suited for airport integration needs. Review and assess current Airport clients integration practice, assess LIFT integration needs and make recommendation for future proof Integration Stack Architecture evolution from asis to “to be” Help Airport client define roadmap and executable project to design, procure and implement next Gen Integration Stack Define and design integration architectures and frameworks that connect different applications (on-premises, cloud, legacy systems) - Ensure that data flows smoothly between systems while maintaining consistency, accuracy, and performance. Implement secure data exchange practices and ensure compliance with regulations and corporate policies. Review and validation of integration solution designs, drawings, specifications, and submittals for technical accuracy, scalability, and compliance. - Bridging the gap between disparate systems, ensuring they communicate effectively to support business operations and digital strategy. Leading technical workshops, design reviews, and peer reviews with stakeholders, consultants, and integrators. Creation of new and or modifications to existing IT standards, specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) as required Creation of concept designs, detailed designs, scopes of work, and associated technical drawings Support procurement and vendor evaluation by reviewing technical submittals and product compliance Qualifications Minimum Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess, at a very minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and or Software Engineering Electrical or Electronic Engineering (with IT focus) 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Mandatory Technical Certifications: Professional Certifications: TOGAF® (The Open Group Architecture Framework) Zachman Framework (less common, but respected in some industries) AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - Google Professional Cloud Architect MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect Dell Boomi Professional Certification - IBM Integration Bus or App Connect Certifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Docker Certifications Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe Agilist (for Agile integration projects) Security and Compliance (especially important in aviation/airport projects) Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor CompTIA Security+field Preferred Requirements: Master’s Degree (preferred or advantageous) in: Enterprise Architecture, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering 10 years experience working in a Class C airport environment providing services of similar scope and scale. 10+ years in enterprise and system integration, cloud platforms, APIs, data flow design Strong knowledge of integration tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Kafka, Microsoft Azure Integration Services, or IBM Integration Bus. Familiarity with cloud (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) platforms, hybrid environments, and edge computing. TOGAF, ITIL, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD - Compliance ISO 27001, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, IATA standards Experience with REST, SOAP, MQTT, AMQP, and other integration protocols. - Understanding of data modeling, schema design, and standard data exchange formats (JSON, XML, CSV). Aviation and Terminal Systems such AS Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Building Management Systems (BMS), Passenger Processing Systems (e.g., CUTE/CUPPS), Security & Access Control, Airport Operational Database (AODB), SCADA and PLC integration Experience integrating Operational Technology (OT) with Information Technology (IT) in a secure and scalable manner. Understanding of smart infrastructure, sensor networks, IIoT, and edge analytics for airport operations and passenger experience. A problem-solver with customer focus, conflict resolution, and analytical skills. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with others. Passion for excellence, strong work ethic and results driven. Expertise in practically applying existing, new and emerging technologies to current, new and evolving business needs in support of business strategy. Familiarity with system development life cycle management, IT services management, IT infrastructure and operations, and IT Enterprise Architecture frameworks. Knowledge of business and technology ecosystems, SaaS (Software as a Service), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), APIs (Application Programming Interface), and microservices. Experience with large infrastructure and/or Airport Development projects and Technology integration Strong understanding of airport and airline business processes. Project management and contract management, applied to management of technology vendors and deliverables in construction industry. Hands on experience in managing of highly skilled technical resources – engineers, architects, developers, and/organizations (vendors) providing such services. Additional Information This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $108051.21 to $158051.21.
