Working with us, you can be innovative, grow, perform at your best and be proud of what we achieve as a company.We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to evaluate sourcing procedures and present improvement strategies.This person will play a key role that will have a direct impact on several of our projects.Are you up to the challenge?Keep readingMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the VP of Operations supervision, you will be responsible for the following: Analyzing and calculating procurement costs and developing cost reduction strategies.Driving purchasing decisions based on cost and scenario analysis, as well as market trends.Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality.Ensure products launches within financial targets.Leading and pursuing new supplier opportunities.Conducting market research, as well as creating cost estimates and forecasts.Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques, as well as negotiating contracts that comply with industry regulations.Maintaining strategic sourcing relationships and developing strong partnerships.Other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, problem solving, creativity and strategic skills.Knowledge of an ERP (Epicor, would be an asset).SQL knowledge would be considered an assetBilingual (asset).Outstanding communication skills and business acumen.Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.Proficiency in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.At least four years procurement experience in a related industry.Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.Familiarity with quality and ISO and OEM standards.Comfortable to perform audits based on companys needs.Capability to understand and analyze engineering drawings.Ability to build solid relationships by using strong interpersonal skills.
